Julie Jacobs Vandenboom This Thanksgiving I'm thankful for Michigan wine because it's something both sides of the aisle can agree on - and because I think we're finally going to open the 2007 Bel Lago Winery Tempesta that's been gathering dust in the basement for several years.
Foster Martinek Thankful for our Michigan wines during the holidays because it gives my husband and I the opportunity to educate friends and family on some of the fabulous, and very serious wine making that is happening in the Mitten. ( we are a little on the wine geek side of things!) So many people are too scared to try something that they are not familiar with, so they go with what they know. Showing our friends and family wines made by such producers as Mawby, Wyncroft, Warner, Left Foot Charlie, Vineyard 2121, Dablon, to name a few. As well as spirits from Chantal and Round Barn. It is so much fun to let them taste and see that there is more to wine than Napa! We love getting them on board with the MI producers!
Jennifer Randall Hayden I'm thankful because we just bought a little over two cases of wine from the northern wineries and it's going to help me get through a long cold Michigan winter.
Mary Anne Thankful for Michigan wines because they are something my husband and I can enjoy together! We love going up to Traverse City each summer and hitting up both wine trails. Whenever we plan a date night, a stop at MBTB (the location varies) is always part of the plan!
