Want to be rewarded for your Northern Michigan wine adventures? The Northern Wine Loop — the consortium of wineries located north of M-204 on the Leelanau Peninsula – recently unveiled a passport program that encourages guests to visit all 10 of the loop's stops for a chance to win prizes.
Available for $25 per person or couple, the passports entitle bearers to three free tastings at each of the Northern Wine Loop tasting rooms. Visitors who get their passports stamped at all 10 will receive two free logo wine glasses and will be entered a drawing to win various prizes at the end of the year.
Awesome loot up for grabs includes:
• A weekend at the cottage at Silver Leaf Vineyard & Winery
• A coupon good for a free bottle of wine at each tasting room
• A private tour at Verterra Winery's vineyards
• Tickets to Leelanau Peninsula Vintner's Association-sponsored events
The passports, introduced in mid-May, are available at all of the tasting rooms and at select wine festivals. They're valid through Nov. 30, 2014; the drawing is set for Dec. 15, 2014.
Within the first week, a handful of passport-toting wine lovers had already completed the entire adventure!
