You may have at least heard of or seen our Michigan wine app for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android — hopefully, you own it, use it and love it! Now, you have a chance to be IN it.
Welcome to Feedback Friday, our weekly feature that works like this: We solicit comments about a specific winery or wineries. You supply them. We pick some to include in our app. You become famous (at least in the Michigan wine community). The end.

Each Friday, we'll identify the winery or wineries for which we're seeking comments. Anyone can weigh in, either by replying to that day's Feedback Friday thread on Facebook, or by sending an email to cort@michiganbythebottle.com with the subject line "Feedback Friday." We'll wade through the comments we receive, and one or some may be selected to appear on the individual wineries' entries in our app (with attribution to you, of course). PLEASE BE SURE TO IDENTIFY THE WINERY ON WHICH YOU'RE COMMENTING, PLUS YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME AND CITY OF RESIDENCE.
We understand some people may have had negative experiences at some wineries, and we know that it's not necessarily all sunshine and roses when it comes to people's perceptions of products, customer service, etc. But what we're looking for here are POSITIVE comments. SINCERE positive comments. So while we don't want you to say you liked a place that you didn't, we also don't want to hear your 100-word rant about how much you hate Chateau Whatever.
What we're hoping for is a line (or two, or three, or four — but please, not a dissertation!) about why you like the winery on which you're commenting. What makes it unique? What do you love about it? Anything you think would be helpful to someone navigating Michigan wine country who's heading to this winery for the first time.
This is probably obvious, but please only submit comments for wineries you've actually visited in person.
We'll be accepting Feedback Friday comments for those featured wineries until the following Friday, when we'll introduce a new set. (Of course, feel free to come chatter on Facebook about the wineries you love just for fun any old time. We dig that.)
And please: We're not going to be doing background checks or anything, but we'd really like the entries to come from people WITHOUT an affiliation to the winery. So please don't come by and post under a zillion pseudonyms about how much you adore Aunt Susie's winery because of the family portraits and hand-crocheted doilies.
If your comment is not chosen, please don't take it personally; we won't necessarily be adding a reader comment to every single entry on the app. We also reserve the right to edit comments for length if necessary. Oh, and last thing — we'll be publishing the comments with your first and last name and city of residence (which is why we asked for it). So if you're on the run from the law ... best to abstain from entering.
