Fenn Valley will host its annual Wine Festival, 1-5 p.m., featuring outdoor tasting in the vineyards. Saturday, June 23: Harbor Springs Waterfront Wine Festival
This seventh annual event — held on the shores of Lake Michigan in Harbor Springs, 4-7 p.m. — will feature wine from Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas in a special Michigan tent, as well as international offerings. There will be a special Malbec tasting, free appetizers, entertainment and a raffle. Advance tickets, which go on sale May 1, are $15; tickets at the door are $25. Saturday, June 23: Parrotheads on the Peninsula Swine & Wine Luau
Bowers Harbor Vineyards on Old Mission Peninsula will host a pig roast, 6:30-8:30 p.m., with Chef Adam Kline of Pigs Eatin' Ribs, a mobile smokehouse-style catering and vending service, doing the honors. The Pioneer Wine Trail will celebrate newly released wines with specially paired food prepared by local chefs and restaurants during this new trail event. The self-guided driving tour features Burgdorf's Winery in Haslett, Chateau Aeronautique in Jackson, Cherry Creek in Brooklyn, J. Trees Cellars in Blissfield, Lone Oak Vineyard Estate in Grass Lake, Pentamere Winery in Tecumseh, Sandhill Crane Vineyards in Jackson and Sleeping Bear Winery in Parma. The first annual Haslett Garden Tour will run 10 a.m.-4 p.m., featuring a self-guided tour presented by the Haslett Beautification Association. This fourth annual celebration, held 3-10 p.m. at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, will feature the wines of more than 25 wineries from Leelanau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, Traverse City and the Benzie area, along with food and desserts from Traverse City and Leelanau restaurants, original artwork from dozens of regional artists, and live entertainment — including headliner Rusted Root! Charlevoix Ace Hardware and Weber Grill are presenting this second annual event, featuring picnicking and music at East Park in Charlevoix. Food ranges from whitefish tacos and vegetarian cuisine to BBQ ribs and pulled pork. Scheduled musical performances include The Verve Pipe, Michi-Guinea featuring Facinet Bangoura and Seth Bernard & May Erlewine with their band, Jetty Rae. Held at the Walstrom Marine in Harbor Springs, this two-day event is the largest fundraiser for the Crooked Tree Art Center. A preview wine tasting runs 6-8:30 p.m. July 11, featuring wines from Michigan, California and Oregon, hors d'oeuvres, an auction, a preview of the artwork, and a chance to meet the artists. On Thursday, the main event runs 6-10 p.m. July 12, with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a seated gourmet dinner, a silent auction and a live auction. Guests receive an original work of art. Domaine Berrien Cellars in Berrien Springs will hold its eighth annual Art, Wine & Music Festival, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The outdoor event — which goes on rain or shine — will feature about 30 artists and crafters, selling their work from beneath individual tents in an art fair area.
