It’s a dessert wine made from grapes left on the vines to freeze naturally.That’s right – left on the vine. Most people think local agriculture grinds to a halt after the last apples and grapes are harvested in October. Not so. The grape harvest continues on in December. The water in the grapes freezes, but nothing else does. The resulting thick, sweet juice produces an intricate wine bursting with flavor.
